Ironmouse Breaks Twitch Subscriber Record Surpasses Kai Cenat
Meet Twitch’s Most-Subscribed Streamer: Ironmouse

Ironmouse, a Puerto Rican-American VTuber, has officially made Twitch history by becoming the platform’s most-subscribed streamer. On September 30, 2024, she surpassed Kai Cenat’s record of 306,000 subscribers, reaching an incredible 320,000 subs—and counting. This milestone was achieved during her month-long subathon, a special event where she streamed for 30 days.

Who is Ironmouse?

For those unfamiliar, Ironmouse is a virtual streamer who has been captivating audiences since her debut in 2017. Using an animated avatar that looks like a pink-haired anime character with devil horns, she entertains her fans with a mix of gaming, singing, and her signature chaotic humor. But there’s more to her story than just fun and games.

Ironmouse has been open about her battle with common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), a disorder that weakens her immune system and has left her bedridden for long periods. Streaming became a lifeline for her, allowing her to connect with the world, build a community, and now, break records.

A Record-Breaking Subathon

Ironmouse’s record-breaking moment came during her annual subathon—a month-long event where she streamed regularly, engaging with her community and raising money for a cause close to her heart. This year, she pledged to donate half of the proceeds to the Immune Deficiency Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of those with immune disorders.

A Historic Achievement

This achievement is monumental for several reasons:

  • The first woman to hold the Twitch subscriber record.
  • Surpassed Kai Cenat’s previous record of 306,000 subscribers.
  • Reached this milestone during National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Perhaps the most inspiring aspect of this story is that both Ironmouse and Kai Cenat are paving the way for other marginalized creators. Their success is a powerful reminder of how far the platform has come in providing equal opportunities for underrepresented voices. Rather than comparing their achievements, we should celebrate the diversity they bring to the top of Twitch.
